Job Description:
Episcopal Camps & Conference Centers (ECCC) is a Churchwide network serving nearly 100 Episcopal camps, retreat centers, conference centers, and farms. For 35+ years, ECCC has strengthened a lifelong leadership pipeline—from childhood experiences at camp to directors, clergy, and lay leaders who shape the wider Church. Research from the Episcopal Church Leadership Project shows that 30% of Episcopal leaders once served on camp staff, underscoring camp ministry as one of the Church’s most vibrant leadership-formation pathways.
Position Overview
The Associate Director helps strengthen this leadership pipeline by designing and implementing ECCC’s programs, events, and formation experiences. Working closely with the Executive Director, this role brings a vision for justice-centered, spiritually grounded leadership development to life across the network.
A proactive, self-directed leader, the Associate Director blends event coordination, grant development, and network engagement. They research funding opportunities, draft proposals, support reporting, and help articulate ECCC’s impact. As a strategic thought partner, they collaborate on organizational growth and emerging initiatives, contributing to a small, highly collaborative team grounded in hospitality, creativity, justice, and joy.
