Ferncliff is a vibrant 501(c)(3) nonprofit located just outside Little Rock, Arkansas. Founded in 1937, we are a multi-faceted organization with a mission to welcome people into a life of caring for Creation, others, and themselves. Our programs include summer camp, a retreat and conference center, a nature preschool, a disaster assistance center, and a Good360 distribution hub.
Position Overview:
The Director of Group Experience ensures that every retreat guest at Ferncliff enjoys a seamless, welcoming, and memorable stay. This leadership role oversees all aspects of hospitality and guest services—coordinating logistics, managing support staff, and enhancing service quality. The Director plays a key role in communication, hosting, volunteer oversight, and continuous improvement of the retreat and conference experience.
Key Responsibilities:
• Oversee all aspects of guest group hospitality and logistics
• Develop systems for clear communication and coordination with retreat groups
• Supervise, train, and support hospitality staff, volunteers, and interns
• Manage inventory and supplies for hospitality and AV/tech needs
• Work collaboratively with Food Service, Housekeeping, Maintenance, and Sales teams
• Host weekend groups and provide on-call support
• Monitor and improve sustainability, service, and guest satisfaction
• Maintain financial oversight of related budgets and line items
