Job Description:
The Director of Development is responsible for the planning, organizing, directing, and leading of LLC’s fundraising activities including major gifts, annual fund, planned giving, sponsorships for special events, and capital campaign programs. The Director of Development works closely with the Executive Director and the LLC Board in all development and fundraising endeavors. The Director of Development works to ensure that the mission, goals, accomplishments, and opportunities that lie before Lutheran Lakeside Camp are interpreted to individuals, groups, and organizations and that those individuals, groups, and organizations are invited to make charitable contributions that further the ministry of LLC. The Development Director will utilize the donor database to grow current donors through direct mailings, one on one visits, and strategic planning. They will also look for major gifts outside of the current Lakeside network and will need to be comfortable making direct asks and doing visits with donors.
