PCCCA Member Sites Represented at the 2017 APCE Conference

Six PCCCA member centers were part of a joint exhibit hall presence at the Annual Event of the Association of Presbyterian Church Educators. We had our largest presence ever at this conference - five booths in a row! The event was held on January 25-28 at the Denver Marriott Tech Center (Denver, CO). The conference brings together Christian educators from across the United States and Canada. The sites represented at the joint booth were Presbyterian Mo-Ranch Assembly (TX), Menucha Retreat and Conference Center (OR), Ghost Ranch Education and Retreat Center (NM), Montreat Conference Center (NC), Highlands Camp and Retreat Center (CO), and Dwight Mission Camp and Conference Center (OK). These centers responded to an invitation that appeared in the Branches Online eNewsletter. Are you seeking a national audience for your camp or conference ministry? We will be doing a joint booth at the 2018 APCE Annual Event in Louisville, KY. If you are interested, details on this opportunity will appear in a future issue of Branches Online.

Presbyterian Panel Survey on Camp and Conference Ministry

The Presbyterian Panel of the Presbyterian Church (USA) has released survey results related to Spiritual Growth Experiences and Church Retreats. A representative sample of nearly 4,000 Presbyterians (members, ruling elders, pastors, and specialized clergy) serve on the Presbyterian Panel for a three-year period and respond to mailed questionnaires four times a year. You can find the summary of this survey on the impact of camp, conference and retreat ministry at the Presbyterian Panel website.

The Fund for Camp

We invite you to make a contribution to the Donald A. Hostetter Fund for Camp. Just as the life and service of Donald A. Hostetter touched the ministries of so many of the camps and conference centers in our denomination, PCCCA seeks to aid these sites by providing financial support to the systems that sustain Presbyterian camp and conference ministry. We are seeking $3.3 million for the support of Presbyterian camp and conference ministries. The Fund for Camp is structured to support PCCCA programs and our Executive Director position, the visits and events provided by the PCCCA Consultants Network, and the national staff position for camp and conference ministries of the Presbyterian Church (USA). For information on this exciting initiative, please go here to learn more on how you can support Presbyterian camp and conference ministry.
